George Dekeles is the founder of Zeta Health and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of experience in psychiatric and mental health care. He provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

His broad clinical experience has shaped a practical, individualized approach to psychiatric treatment centered on each patient's needs and goals.

 

Education & Academic Experience

George earned his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of South Florida, completed a Post-Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University.

He also serves as Adjunct Faculty at the University of South Florida and Nova Southeastern University, helping educate and mentor future nurse practitioners.

 

Professional & Community Involvement

George's professional experience includes serving as a Former Content Expert Panel Member for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and Former Board Member of NAMI Broward County. He is currently a member of NAMI Pinellas County and has provided psychiatric services to underserved and homeless populations in both Broward and Pinellas counties.

His approach emphasizes careful evaluation, evidence-based treatment, and collaboration in a compassionate, judgment-free environment. Treatment is personalized to each individual, with the goal of improving emotional well-being, daily functioning, and overall quality of life.
